GOK

The firm GOK Regler & Armaturen GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1968 by Karl-Heinz Kleine and Josef Gottfried in the town of Ochsenfurt in Germany. Previously, Karl-Heinz Kleine had acquired a thorough knowledge of the field of regulating techniques and wanted to make use of this knowledge with his own firm. From the very outset he strengthened his team with experts whom he recruited from all over Germany for his new company. His clear objective was to become the market leader in regulating techniques for oil and liquefied gas. Especially in the first years after its foundation the GOK company played a decisive role in new developments in regulating techniques. Significant initiatives and well-founded technical improvements made by GOK research led the way and consistently exceeded existing requirements. The result was constructive cooperation with legislators, who referred to GOK developments in many of their regulations. The rapid expansion of the company in the first 10 years was further strengthened by the takeover of three firms. Today, the traditional family concern of GOK in Marktbreit continues to be successfully run by Dieter Kleine, the son of the company's founder.

Location

In view of the increasing coming together of the markets in Europe, GOK has an ideal geographical position. The headquarters of the company are located centrally in Germany in Marktbreit, a picturesque little town in the wine-growing region of Franconia. Being situated directly next to the motorway network, GOK is easy to reach from all directions.

GOK international

In Germany, GOK has made history in the last 40 years in the field of regulating techniques. Now the company is moving along the right lines to continue its success abroad. This includes the strengthening of existing business ties in Western Europe and the opening up of new markets in Eastern Europe. Moreover, initial contacts with China have shown that in the medium to long term the enormous region of Asia offers exciting sales potential for GOK products. With a view to the future, as well as to these new markets, GOK is also expanding in the field of manufacturing. In 1999 a further warehouse and assembly hall were set up in Marktbreit with a total area of 3,500 square meters, as well as new automatic regulator manufacturing lines and a state-of-the-art foundry and painting plant.
